Software may be written in C, C++, Visual Basic and PERL/Tcl. Lab characterization engineer would report to a Design Engineer.
Experience:
Must have the ability to program in C++, Visual Basic and PERL/Tcl. Should also be familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and voltmeters. Experience with GPIB control, National Instruments Lab Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point are pluses. Experience with assembly language programming, HTML, Microsoft Foundation Class library, and GUI interfaces are also pluses. Knowledge of ADCs and DACs are also pluses.
Education:
BSEE preferred, though candidates with BSCS with lab experience would be considered.

Assist engineering staff with all lab duties such as selection and stocking of various components, test equipment, and probing supplies. Responsible for preventative maintainance of all equipment. Other duties will include technical support of all back-end laboratory evaluation tasks for silicon verification.
Experience:
Must be organized and skilled in microprobing, soldering, debugging and repairing hardware such as evaluation boards. Failure analysis and programming capability will be a big plus. Must have at least
3 years experience in probing or failure analysis of prototype ICs in a laboratory environment.
